I have always liked this theater. The sound and display have always been fine. Sound/display only glitched twice in all the years this place has been open and I was refunded both times (Incredibles movie was one). Of course the place could be thoroughly cleaned but overall it's pretty good. What place couldn't use a thorough cleaning? The staff is always friendly and accommodating. My teenage sons grew up going to the free summer movies here as kids and have great memories of the place. There is no need to give them anything but five stars.
Great place to catch a movie. Food prices are high but I’m always welcomed with a warm smile from one of the managers Dylan zeringue. He’s the nicest employee I’ve met and always helps me when i have problems! He definitely needs a raise! I’ve had some issues with movie times being different in theatres vs the website but Dylan helped me out no problem! Gotta love that Dylan guy!
I thought this theater was going to get a serious renovation after AMC brought them out. No such luck. The floors are sticky and the seats stained from years of use. Just looking at other guest face as they walked in told the same story I am writing about now. I must say that Parkway Pointe was the same way many years ago but is now a beautiful place to go to see a movie. AMC Hiram my hope is your time is next.
This theatre is not the best in the area. And people, I would read the restaurant scores before eating anything here. I've watched the kids that work there put the whole refillable popcorn bucket directly into the popcorn and that just turns your stomach, especially when you look at the people that are having the buckets refilled. The floors are sticky and the seats smell. My husband loves to go to the movies and I'll definitely go to please him, but this place is always my last option.
It's the only movie theater in the area so unfortunately it is almost always crowded. The cleanliness of the theaters isn't spectacular but you probably won't sit in anything too gross. The staff is young which isn't a surprise however they've all been extremely kind and helpful. Overall, I'd say this is status quo for what I'd expect in a theater in an area without other competition.
